Elon Musk is a South African-born entrepreneur who leads Tesla and SpaceX and founded the AI company xAI. After co-founding Zip2 and X.com (which merged into PayPal), he founded SpaceX in 2002 and became Tesla's CEO in 2008 — the companies that made reusable rockets and mass-market electric cars real.
